I'm a certified Master Gardener and I find this book so helpful and really good for Texas landscapes. It is clear and has great illustrations. This book should be in every Texas gardener's book collection!

Having recently purchased my first home I picked up five different gardening books. I don't even know where the other four have gone, but now I have two of this one. It's a great guide which covers everything from plants that should thrive in the area (including care, size, and how to select), to various designs for commonly-found areas around your home.

It even covers various landscape construction projects such as fences, walks, and patios, and is well-written and illustrated throughout.

New edition is a wealth of knowledge for each area of Texas. Sections on walkways and paths and sections on specific plants for your area are the best I've read.

This landscape guide is an excellent tool for your Texas landscape. One of the best items (other than full color renderings), is that the book show you what plants will look like from initial planting to full-grown plants. I would highly recommend it.

I've tried several landscaping programs before and this one is definately the best. I feel much more legitimate as a landscape designer now that I can put together plans in a timely manner that look just right. Their technical support is also great and it's nice that they offer a demo on their website.

I am a regular homeowner with moderate plant knowledge (but zero for my area as I just moved from Fl to NJ). I have good computer skills but no where near professional for graphics. The first hour of using this software I was going to return it becuase I thought it had no in depth capabilities. I couldn't customize sizes, shapes, etc and thought all it could do was plop preset objects into preset homes. Once I figured out how to open an object I was able to make a near exact picture of my house and yard in about 2 hours. If I were to do it again I think it would take way less time as I would know how to use the tool. I was able to add in my hills, walkways, trees, pool, etc. The only thing I couldnt figure out how to do was make my sunroom look like a sunroom, so I have just a room with a lot of windows. Once the existing property was drawn it was very easy to add/move/etc everything from annuals to playground equipment. I LOVE IT! Using this I was able to see on the screen very close to what my ideas would look like (and change them) before putting the wrong thing in the ground. So far the hundred bucks has saved much more in mistakes that I would have made without it.
The only thing that I would really like, that I don't see (but of couse I haven't opened the book so maybe it can) is a plant list for my zone and growing requirements. In the drawing I had put Juniper in a shady area by my front door, to go to the nursery and find out it is not for shade. It would ge great if that info was available in the tool and I could search by my zone, shade, wet etc. Instead, I will have to verify that what i pick on paper will actually work in the ground through books and the nursery. However, I was still able to use that drawing to know that I wanted green here, pink flowers there, etc and find plants that were similar in texture but would actually grow where i wanted them.
I highly recommend this tool. I have used other free or really cheap online things and they have no power. I was not willing to spend the several hundred I assumed it would take for a professional tool. I can totally see this being a professional tool that would impress customers AND that I as a non pro can use. Plus, I am having a lot of fun playing with it and dreaming about future beds!

A well-made and attractive accent table with ample storage. The oval shape and carvings offer a different style which blends with the decor in our reading room. The price was very reasonable. As I've come to expect, Amazon offered the best price and delivery was as promised.

THESE BATHROOM FIXTURES ARE MADE OF WOOD AND PAINTED WITH A VERY GOOD QUALITY ENAMEL TO MAKE THEM LOOK QUITE REALISTIC. THEY FIT IN VERY NICELY WITH MY DAUGHTER'S VICTORIAN STYLE DOLL HOUSE.
